The real truth about real hair.

Are you like many other consumers under the impression that all hair is created equal? Do you base your decision to purchase virgin hair extensions using the grading system such as 8A or 9A? Is Mink virgin hair your only preference or is it Brazilian virgin hair? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, we’d like to clear up a few things.

To start with, let’s dissect the phrase virgin hair. The definition of virgin –pure; unsullied; undefiled. Hair is defined as any of the fine threadlike strands growing from the skin of humans, mammals, and some other animals. The true definition of virgin hair– hair that has not been chemically processed. True virgin hair is free of bleaches, perms, and dyes nor does the hair contain any animal or synthetic fibers. To collect the hair, you have to cut it off in a ponytail, this way the cuticles of the hair are aligned which prevents tangling. True virgin hair that has been bleached, which is a chemical process would be considered Remy hair.

Chinese hair suppliers have come up with a grading system to TRICK consumers that they’re buying the best quality possible the higher the considering the number system. Truth is, its all LIES. The numbering system is completely made up, it’s a marketing scheme. Same with Malaysian, Mongolian, and Peruvian hair, it all comes from China.

Nearly 90% of all human hair extensions available in the market consist of processed hair from China which was imported from India as raw fallen hair. It may even be mixed with animal or synthetic fibers.

This means they strip the cuticle by soaking the hair in acid, chemically process it for texture, and color it with dyes. They also coat the hair with silicone, which makes it temporarily ‘tangle free’ and lustrous, temporarily of course, but the silicone washes off quickly and the hair soon becomes dry, stiff, and matted. The hair becomes damaged and too weak to handle heat styling or color applications. They are left looking synthetic and unnatural- and need to be replaced quickly. This hair can often cause severe skin irritation and scalp allergies.

THE TRUTH IS, WHAT YOU ARE BUYING IS REALLY A Fallen hair which is dead. A hair that is collected from hair salons and hairbrushes. – Indian hair vendors call it “Goli Hair” -or floor hair.

Raw hair is by definition True virgin hair and it only comes in three simple textures namely straight, wavy and curly. The only processing that happens with the hair is the cleansing process to remove nits, hackled to remove all short hairs, and expertly weft.  No harsh chemicals are ever used on any of our Raw hair. True raw virgin hair can be bleached up to a level 613 or even 60, however, when dealing with chemicals we always suggest going to a professional. Full cuticle raw virgin hair can last up to 5 years!

The only reason you should ever purchase hair every six months is to try a different texture.
